Upcoming Classes and Events

I can't believe that August is here already.  Where did summer go?  School is back in session by the end of the month and so are our classes. 

August 12th at 1pm is our Rag Rug Class.  Always a fun class and a great way to use those fabrics that you wonder what why you purchased them or any scraps leftover from projects. Rugs make great gifts for Christmas.   $40.00 for a 3 hour class includes instruction booklet, needle, and hands on instruction. 

Our Back to School Sale is August 12-13th.  Receive 10% off your total product purchase. 

Sampler Block of the Month class is August 22nd at 4:30pm.  Come sample your way through 12 of the 365 different patterns available in the Block a Day Calendar book and companion cd.  This class is fun for beginners as well as advanced quilters alike.  $50.00 registration fee includes pattern book and companion cd along with 1st months block.      

We also have a Beginning Piecing 101 class with sessions starting on Thursday, September 15th at 1pm & Saturday, September 17th at 11 am.  This is a 3 part class teaching the following skills and techniques: pattern reading, cutting, pressing, ruler techniques, piecing, and borders.  This class is free with Beginning Piecing Kit purchase.  Kit must be purchased prior to registering for class.  Kit sizes vary.  Visit store for details.

Rag Rug Class

For those of you wondering when our next Rag Rug Class is going to be held; it will be August 12th at 1:00 pm.  This is an excellent project for those "Why did I buy this?" fabrics. 
This is a 3 hour class.  We ask that you register and recommend that you pick up your supply list no later than 1 week prior to class.   This way you will have time to do the prep work.      

Just look at the gorgeous rug that one of our students brought in after taking the class.

A great weekend

We hope everyone had a great holiday weekend.  We sure did!  All the great food, concerts, and fireworks.  Such a great holiday.

Upcoming Classes

Our Block -A- Day Sampler Block of the Month starts July 9th at 9:30 am.  Each month we will focus on a new block with new techniques.  All skill levels welcome.  Registration fee is $50.00 and includes pattern book, companion cd, and first months block.  A demo is displayed in store.

July 9th also is our Rag Rug Making Class.  We teach a fun and no sew easy way to make a braided rug.  Use scraps from your stash or pieces that you're  not quite sure why you got them.  This is a 3 hour class.  Prep work is necessary so be sure to sign up early to get the supply sheet and prep  instructions.  Class fee is $40.00 and includes pattern booklet, needle, and hands on instruction.

Beginning Piecing 101 starts July 16th this is a 3 part class.  This is a small class where we teach basic quilting skills from cutting, pressing, and piecing.  By end of class you will have a quilt top ready for quilting.
Purchase the quilt top kit and the class is free (kit purchase is required).    A Class demo is on display in the store.

Promenade and 4th of July

Don't forget to pick up your coupon book for the Promenade this summer.  Promenade starts next week so pick up yours soon so that you don't miss out.  To Celebrate the 4th of July we will be closed July 2nd and 4th.
